Bike Fit Analysis
Pedaling a bicycle is a very repetitive motion. It is not uncommon for cyclists to accumulate over 5000 revolutions in 1 hour of riding. During your bike fit the clinician will review your medical history, and take into account your cycling goals and any potential physical problems while adjusting you cycling motion. Correct body posture and motion on the bike can prevent injury, eliminate pain, make cycling more enjoyable and even improve your performance.
Here’s how our biomechanical bike fit process works:
- Clients first undergo a medical evaluation to pinpoint any potential problems, such as previous injuries, current pain and strength & flexibility inequalities.
- Visual and video analysis will be made of you on your bike.
- Based on our findings specific mechanical & postural corrections will be discussed and changed.
- By adjusting your positions and mechanics the likelihood of injury will be reduced and your performance will improve.
- Then you will be videotaped again to demonstrate the changes made.
- These are not unfounded claims, but rather proven by scientific biomechanical research. Copies of this research are available at the office.
- Specific exercises and stretches will be prescribed to you via HomePrograms.net for home or clinic use.
- Please bring your favorite bike for use on our trainer. Each bike fit session will take approximately 60 minutes.
