Injury prevention: Pilates focuses on correcting body mechanics and body alignment resulting in increased efficiency and accelerated performance
Pialtes focuses on balance within your body. Most injuries are a result of muscular imbalance. Pilates focuses on conditioning your body as a whole: emphasizing the muscles that provide stability while strengthening and lengthening the extremities in a variety of movement patterns that can be tailored to your individual needs (ie: sport specific training, recreational activities, body mechanics and postural corrections).

Private Pilates Session: One-on-One instruction
This private session with a licensed Physical Therapist and certified Pilates instructor enables you to have your program designed to meet your individual needs and personal goals. This one hour session includes Pilates based conditioning incorporating therapeutic techniques with the constant hands-on correction of each exercise.
Pilates Duet Sessions: You and a friend will share the time of your Pilates instructor who will tailor your workouts so that you can practice together.
How often should I attend class to achieve my goals?
It is recommended to attend Pilates sessions 2 times per week in addition to your regular training program. This will vary depending on your specific goals and should be discussed with your instructor.
Can I participate in Pilates if I am pregnant or have an injury?
Pilates is an excellent option for a prenatal exercise program as it emphasizes strengthening of the pelvic floor and core musculature, as well as, postural alignment.
If you have an injury, make sure to consult with your physician before beginning an exercise program.
